““Who Has Songs to Sing” describes a unique spiritual status”, says Hando Runnel, a well known poet from Tartu. “When singing, you give up your vain self. When singing, you are as if praying, your spirit uplifted. When singing, you forget the troubles of the world. Some might faint when singing, but will not die”.
But that did not need reminding – “who has songs to sing, knows!”
The festival will gather over 7 000 participants. A big part of them will be children and toddlers, including those from kindergartens, for many of whom this will be the first big song festival experience.
